Well after a complete downer last week having gained 1.5 pounds I have well and truly redeemed myself this week with a fantastic 3.5 OFF!
To say I am ecstatic is probably a bit conservative. It hasn’t been a tough week. I think I knew deep down that last week was just some terrible womanly thing and that if I persevered and stayed focused the weight would come off!
This week will be a bit different no doubt! I have planned for Christmas though so food wise it won’t be too bad. It’s the alcohol sadly that might be the problem!
Oh well if you can’t enjoy yourself for a couple of days at Christmas then when can you?!!
Have a brilliant one everybody and I will let you know how I get on next week.

I have to say this has really done my head in. Probably because I don’t understand why. So what is different this week to last? Well there are only two things I can think of. The first is that I am taking some medicine from the doctor however according to the box it is sugar and fat free, and the second is that it is that wonderful time of the month that us females have to endure!
Could these two things really be the cause or am I looking for excuses? I don’t suppose I will ever know. The only thing I can do is to carry on, focus on my food to make sure that I am eating healthily and see what happens next week.
Here’s another recipe you might like to try this week. It really is yumbo!

So it really feels like I am on a role. Half a pound more off this week than last week which is great, so what have I done differently?
Well food wise I have eaten much the same. By that I mean I am loading my plate with plenty of veggies and eating fruit when peckish and just generally sticking to the rules from my weight loss group.
The only other thing I have done is increase my activity levels. I haven’t mentioned exercise before and I think we all know how important it is. Mention the “E” word and we all groan (at least we do when starting out doing the wicked deed!) and then soon enough, and you may just have to trust me on this, you actually do start to enjoy it, especially when the pounds start to shift in the right direction!
Anyway, exercise isn’t something that I am consciously doing. I am not going to the gym, not going out specifically for a bike ride, not going for a run. All these things are great to do but if at first exercise isn’t your bag then forget it!
All I am doing is staying on my feet more, walking a bit further than I would have done before and I can tell you that I am definitely feeling fitter. In fact yesterday I didn’t get in my car once! With the weather on my side I walked to my kids school and back three times…two school runs and one Christmas Concert, then after school I also had to take my eldest to the doctors and she was happy to walk there and back too. So all in all I walked 8 whole miles and that is without all the steps done in between!
With christmas coming up click here to download my present to you!
Have a great week.

Am I on a role or what? So that’s 1 stone 3 pounds in total! Wooohooooo!
I have to say that I am feeling really great. I am now getting into clothes 2 sizes smaller than I was and if weight is anything to go by then I have a really long way to go but actually I reckon I am looking pretty damned hot!
I mustn’t get complacent though. Christmas is just 3 weeks away so I need to plan NOW just how I am going to handle it.
I reckon I have 3 choices:
1. Say “Weyhey it’s Christmas, bring on the booze, bring on the food” and blow all my good work. The Result will be to gain a ridiculous amount of weight and no doubt be too scared to step back on the scales at some point in January and end up back to square one plus a few more pounds.
2. Say “Weyhey it’s Christmas” but then refuse to eat or drink anything that isn’t 100% weight reduction friendly and then have the most miserable time that I’ll end up fed up and so start comfort binge eating instead!
3. Say “Weyhey it’s Christmas” and plan what to eat! Planning means that I can plan to eat what I like on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or which ever days I want to, and then for the other days I can be really good and stick to healthy foods! This way I can enjoy Christmas and it needn’t be a scales nightmare when it’s over. Yeah I may gain a few pounds but that has to be better and easier to lose than gaining a stone!
So what will you do? Please post your thoughts!
