Week 7

So here we are at week 7.

I lost a pound this week which is great because it means that I have now lost a stone but having had a couple of weeks losing 3 pounds each time I must admit I was a little disappointed.

So what did I do differently this week?

Looking back I realised that I have eaten a lot less fruit and veg this week. Instead of having a salad at lunch time I had some low fat noodles on a couple of days. This might not seem like much but they do say that lots of fruit and veg will supercharge your weight reduction…I think they speed up your motabolism or something.

Talking of speeding up your metabolism, I came across this great e-book on the subject which I can’t wait to read.

Maybe if your weight reduction has slowed up a little then this may be something for you to read too.

Week 6

Woo, what a week!

Felt like a tough one this week. I seemed to feel constantly hungry and I think that was more to do with the cold outside. I suppose your body would need more fat intake to stay warm when when it is cold but when you’re trying to ditch some excess weight extra fat is the last thing you want!

I also think I am getting bored with what I am eating. Lunch seems to solely consist of salads. I mean salad is reallly healthy and really low in fat and calories but day after day it is getting a bit much! So for the next week I am going to try something different for lunch. Soup! Try my Tomato and Veg Soup….it’s delic!

So how did I fair on the scales? Well……..3 pounds off!!! Woohoooooo! I am so pleased! So in total I have now lost 13 pounds!

Week 5

Wow I can’t believe another week has passed us by so quickly!

Was it a good week for you? Even though I felt that I had managed to re-focus and although nervous when standing on those scales, I was still surprised to see a a nice 3 pounds disappear!

Then to top that I was even named “Slimmer of the week” Woohooo, it’s silly things like that that really keep me motivated and on the right track.

So have you eaten anything really yummy this week? I have!

Mix some quark (which is fat free soft cheese) with some crushed garlic, then make a whole into a chicken breast and stuff the quark mixture inside. Wrap the chicken breast with lean bacon then cook in the oven until the chicken is thouroughly cooked. Serve with loads of veggies and perhaps some cous cous. Yumbo!

Eat well and have a great week.

Week 4

How’ve you been? Great I hope?

This week has been a struggle for me. Sadly my grandma died so I have had to face my demons over comfort eating. I can’t say I fared too well and although I am not proud of myself I have come to the conclusion that beating myself up over it will not help me either.

I honestly believe that I have in the past been my own worst enemy. That little voice inside my own head has been a massive contributor to my weight gain over the years. Beating myself up over the slightest little thing and then reaching for food to comfort me followed by more self destructive talk followed by more comfort eating. A vicious circle? It certainly has been, and now I have finally recognised it I can take responsibility, take control and turn it around! How empowering is that?!

So I know I have eaten things that I shouldn’t this week and I have only lost half a pound but I will not give up, I will move on and concentrate on the now and the future. No amount of abusive talk is going to help. I just need to re-focus and look forward to a better week this week.
