Where has this week gone?
How have you been? Doing OK? I thought I was until I got on the scales! Only a pound off this week. I know that is still a reduction which is great news but I must admit I was hoping for more.
So where am I going wrong? Am I allowing the odd naughty thing to pop into my mouth? When I look back on the week I have to admit that I have. The odd chicken nugget left over from the kids tea…..the odd mouthful just to check their food isn’t too hot for them to eat….oops! They all add up and I am just glad that I recognise and have admitted to myself what has being going on before it is all too late and before the scales show a weight gain! Lets face it, that would be completely demoralising and I’m not sure how I would cope with telling you lot about it!
So what can I do to stay on the straight and narrow? I think the best thing is that when I am tempted to pop something into my mouth which may hinder my progress I just need to ask myself “How much do I want that fabulous body?” and “Is this small mouthfull really worth gaining weight for?”
A quick reminder to yourself as to why you’re doing this should help you to re-focus.
Remember, as soon as you put the food down, celebrate the fact that you have shown masses of self control by giving yourself a huge smile and a pat on the back. Well done you!
See you next week

This week was ok for me. I seem to have spent the whole time with my head in cookery magazines and all the doumentation produced by my advisor, checking that what I am eating is OK without too much fat etc, but as the week has gone on it has definitely got easier.
This weeks tip is…..drum roll please…..
If you’re having cheese always grate it and use a very fine grater! When cheese is grated really finely, it seems to triple in amount on the plate and this way you don’t eat nearly as much, keeping your fat intake lower than it would have been!
For me this week I reduced my weight by 2 pounds. I must admit I was slightly dissappointed and then a very wise and utterly gorgeous husband pointed out to me that if I only lost 1 pound a week, in a year I would be nearly 4 stones lighter! Now that would be AMAZING!
Have an awesome week my friend,

Continue Reading »So, your first week is over! How did you do?
For me it felt a bit weird, a bit full hearted and yet at the same half hearted.
What I mean is that I was raring to go and was 100% committed and at the same time I couldn’t bring to just ditch everything from the fridge as that would seem such a waste! So I ended up trying to eat up left overs which aren’t nutritionally the greatest whilst at the same time stick to my weight loss plan!
I am actually really pleased with myself. I did throw out the comletely and utterly “if you even look at me you’ll gain 5 pounds” food and fit everything else in to my new eating regime.
The result? Well I am pleased to say that my first week has seen a reduction of 3.5 pounds!!
Woohooo! I am sooooo pleased and I hope you too had a great result and have the motivation to carry on! Remember, this is the beginning of a completely new you….a you which you are absolutely going to adore!
Continue Reading »Hi Everyone and welcome to the MyFat2FitJourney.com blog.
Well, this is it, this is where we get started!
Did you weigh yourself or join a club? I have, and although I am convinced the scales must have been lying I am raring to go.
The first thing I am doing is going through my cupboards and fridge and getting rid of anything really ridiculous that I know will not help me to reach my ultimate goal of a lovely slim healthy me!
Now stop that, I can hear you groaning from here! If we continue to eat the things we’ve been eating and moving our bodies the way we haven’t been moving them then we are just going to end up with the same results! In fact we will end up with more which I for one really don’t want! So the answer is “Change – Do It Differently”!
Ok, so we’ve ditched all the naughty stuff and now we need to decide what we can actually eat so that we stay alive!
I think the key is to make sure we don’t have too many carbs or too much protein and fill up on lots of vegatables.
Over the coming weeks I will put a few recipes together which I hope you will enjoy and any tips to help you beat any cravings you may get for chocolate or crisps, or whatever is your nemesis!
To your success,
Alison
